Old Stuff Rules!
"Where our T-Shirts Rule!
I have always enjoyed old things.
When I was 15 years old I decided I wanted a pickup with big fenders for my first vehicle. So, on every occasion I searched for the perfect first pickup, my dad located it for me. It was a 1954 Chevy 3100, in Hobbs, NM. So, on Christmas morning I was shocked to see in a small box, the key's to my first truck! It was the begining of a love for all things old. I still drive "ol' blue" to this day.
Once I had a family it was time for something bigger to go cruising in so the search began for a Carryall. While searching Hemmings Motor News I came across the perfect Cruiser. It is a 1952 Chevy Carryall. I "the Burb" found in Toledo OH. It was owned by the second family owner, when I went to look at it I asked the owner if there was any other documents he had with the vehicle. He came out of his house with a folder containing the best documentation you could have ever asked for. It was an original build sheet and a letter from Chevrolet stating due to the shortage of steel the production date had been pushed back. After looking at this folder, I knew I had to have this 2nd family owned Carryall.
My next purchase was the 1948 Airstream Liner. I found it while searching one of my favorite websites, Craigslist. Again, this Airstream had a great history and was owned by the original family. I had many ideas of what do do with my Airstream, generally I am a pueist but, in order for the family to enjoy the Airstream it must be updated to todays standards. Again, through Craigslist I found Jimmy Cates of Twisted Silver Customs. Jimmy completed a one off meticulous Resto rod of the Liner. This particular Airstream is number 66 off the line.
